Final Thoughts

Wig

My first interfaction of this wig was a helmet wig. But its a bit uncomfortable so I plan to make a second one with a soft core.

Cover Up

I started with a pattern I modified from my coat block. I wanted a breezy thing with a lot of volume. Since directly painting on the designs by hand would be a nightmare and I don’t own a cricut, I settled for designing a pattern in an art program with game assets as a reference. The pieces were printed on cotton gauze for a beach vibe using Spoonflower. But of course direct fabric printing losing a lot of depth, and the colors came out weird compared to reference. So before sewing I painted over most of the designs, sometimes with Lumiere metallic for flair. The whole garment was flat lined with cotton lawn for a bit more body and opacity.

I found thee gold tassels online and there were the perfect addition versus making my own.

Bikini

I’ve never made a bikini top before but luckily there are numerous drafting tutorials out there. I used some of my left over cotton gauze, interlined it with a thicker cotton, and sewed as normal.
Since I didn’t pattern the top while I did my jacket I made iron on appliques of the details from some of the off cuttings.

Shorts

Same old trusty shorts pattern I’ve used for a million cosplays. Initially it came from Mood but I’ve butchered it so much by adding a fly and slant pockets its almost unrecognizable.
I actually ordered this fabric for Pictomancer krile’s pants but I didn’t like how it looked. Glad it was used in the end.

Bangles

I modeled the bangles myself using Fusion 360. They were relatively simple shapes so not that hard to model. I had seen talk about using thinned acrylic modeling paste as a brush on filler to cut down on sanding time, so I tested it on these and it works pretty well after the learning curve.
I didn’t want an extravagant paint job for something you were barely going to see with the sleeves, so just a flat black primer with gold Rub N Buff on top.

Ice cream

Definitely my favorite part of this cosplay, inspired by a heartbreaking moment in the game. With how nice some fake food pieces are out there I started with 12 fake ice cream scoops. Some I just weathered with a light brown acrylic wash to bring out the sculpt details but I was unable to find a mint chocolate chip so I had to paint those from scratch.

A couple of the fake cookies, like the stars, are textured foam. Others are clay formed around wire. Initially I purchased a cone while buying the ice cream but it was much too small. So I made a new one from 5 mm eva, detailed with puff paint and textured with a balled up piece of foil.
